Bridal Shower: Viva My Vegas 3.27.10
March 28, 2010I celebrated My’s bridal shower and bachelorette party in Vegas this past weekend. We’ve been close friends since college, so I was excited to help out with HER weekend. Planning a destination bridal shower and sticking to a budget required some creative thinking… Luckily, the bride is low maintenance and wanted a casual, relaxing, fun affair.
I recruited my sisters to create name tents and desserts for the bridal shower. Cynthia created simple tents and tags for the food. Eunice baked homemade mini cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and chocolate hazelnut cookies dipped in chocolate. She just created a blog Euni Cakes, check it out!
Food: caprese skewers, bow tie pesto chicken pasta, mini spinach quiches, chinese chicken salad, turkey meatballs, cheese & meat platter, mixed berries, vegetable platter
Drink: lychee My-mosas
- Simple Recipe: puree lychee from a can (no juice), freeze in container, slush the frozen lychee with a fork, add a spoonful or two into your flute, slowly pour in prosecco. Done!
- If you love mint, blend mint leaves to the lychee puree. Refreshing!
Enjoy the pictures! Please note, I’m not the best photographer.
