Happy November! Whoa, this month has gone by SO FAST! I know it’s been a quick minute since my last post, but I was just taking advantage of the warm sunny November days + the rest of 2013. The sunsets a lot earlier now, so those hikes after work will have to wait til next year! Time is definitely flying by a lot faster these days, so stop + smell the ocean air + frolic in the warm sun while you can!
I’m definitely a California girl (born + raised!), but I absolutely love New York City! So much that I wanted to move there right after college – years ago. I was so close to actually moving years ago, but it never happened (sad face). But, everything happens for a reason… right!?
Hello! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of August! Summer is flying by so quickly. Since I took a little break from coordinating events, I wanted to write a post about my niece’s (Taylor’s) 1st birthday I coordinated this past April.
The 1st birthday is a pretty big deal for Korean’s and is called Dol or Doljanchi. It’s a Korean tradition that celebrates the child’s 1st year of life with a special ceremony that blesses the child with a prosperous life and fortune. It’s such a big deal celebration because in the past many passed away before their first birthday’s in Korea.
I just got back from a college friend’s funeral + felt the need to write something about it. She was so young to have passed from such a horrible disease in a short period of time. Cancer sucks. Sadly, I’ve been hearing about so many people diagnosed with cancer. All of this reminds me that life really is so precious.
